Somebody can point to me where's the site which holds the edited versions of the official NPCs?

Can you give more details please? Which NPCs are you referring to? Are they edited soundsets, portraits or mods?

I was told somewhere there are modified versions of the NPCs.. say, a new
kit for Valygar, different abilities for Imoen or something like that!
I'd want to take a look

There is an interesting that re-balances rogue abilities
mod, thought that might interest you, Littiz. With that, rogues can dual-wield, among other things.
There is also a
Valygar romance in beta testing. Lots of other good stuff for you to check out too.

Stumbled onto Manveru's custom
NPCs while replying to another thread. Just click on "Custom NPC for BG2" on the left hand scroll bar. You can find Drizzt, Jon Irenicus and even Saemon Havarian!
