The contest of the figurines.
I need help weighing the pros and cons of all the available figurines throughout SOA and TOB (and that one in TDD that's only usable by Druids). Drizzt's figurine doesn't count since it's immune to EVERYTHING. Anyway, we've got the Moon Dog(Ranger stronghold), the Mountain Lion (Druid stronghold), the Spider Figurine from the graveyard, the Shakti Figurine from Saradush, and that one from TDD that's only usable by Druids and unsellable (forgot what it is). In case you were wondering, this is sort of a poll.
Your ancestors may have evolved from monkeys, but mine did not.
The moon dog always seemed the best for me, for the others you might as well just use summoning spells. The Shakti seemed mostly pointless to me, and I haven't gotten TDD yet.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach
As opposed to the opinion that seems to be popular, I think shakti figurine is a great item. Anyone read the description of Mail of the Dead +2? I'm like that mage, yeah (I'm so cool now). I would use the shakti figurine to transform one of my "comrades" into a blue robot and then send them to battle as if he or she was the vanguard, until I run out of NPCs (thus making them deadly, but not-so-deadly assassins). And then I would retrieve the equipment and redo the entire process over again. Only bad thing about this is that fighters are immune to this kind of trickery. Don't know how they do it, but it's darn clever of them. Usually fighters can charge into battle and take few hits and die gloriously anyway, so this doesn't pose too much of a problem. In case anybody was wondering, I have never beat Throne of Baal. I usually run out of "ammos" and have to start soloing, which is very tough when facing improved bosses. And I don't believe in save/loading (it costs too much)... unless there is a good reason.
BAH. I wish you all well on this relatively good day.
