killed priestesses but am unable to complete quest

i killed all the priestesses including oria on the other plane but nethaneil doesnt give me the speech option that that part of the game is complete. I went through the side door to the ice temple and kill lysran, then the one in the room with the pews then lastly oria. I then defeated the altar and then sherenical. Any ideas?
