OK, I'm writing this based on my memory only. Xvim got high fire resistance - so your fire based attack and fire elements spells are useless, try using another element to attack also it's best to have some item with vs evil allignment attack bonus. If you finished the Chera Sumat quest before this that nifty sword is great against him.
I'll be adding another ones after I checked on my saved game
<EDIT>Also cast to your tanks some fire protection spells

It worked best for me to alternate attacks between my two tanks--heal one while the other attacks then switch (don't forget about your healing potions). I used spellcasters to kill the demons as fast as I could; after they are dead, I used my weaker characters as decoys when I ran out of healing spells. Try to get Xvim to chase a weaker character, then attack him from behind with your stronger ones. Once you run out of healing spells & potions, have any character he attacks run away. I can't remeber if you can hide some characters with invisiblilty (he might be able to see them, I can't recall); if you can, hide some weaker characters to keep them out of harm's way. For me, this was a long fight with a lot of running around.
@forger1977, thanks for being polite. You will find it will get you better results around here. I probably shouldn't bring it up, but I feel you owe Gruntboy an apology. Remeber, he is a moderator in this forum, so it is wise to be in his good graces. I am confident he will accept.
