**sticks his tounge out at fable when hes not looking**

Is Valygar unable to backstab with his family katana?? every time i try to it says this weapon is unusable for backstab(or something close to that )

Yeah, this is a known bug. Baldurdash has a fix for it if you're interested.

I know it's a joke, silly; no offense taken. But as I've remarked before, sending me PMs to get quick answers to your BG2 questions is self-defeating, because 1) there are a lot more knowledgeable people in these forums than myself; and 2) because I'm not Mr. Instant Answer Man.

How do you backstab?

1st u use your hide in shadows skill(must be out of visual range of hostile creature) or invisiblity spell

2nd walk up behind your target and attack

Back to the original topic, all weapons in the game that have a 'usable by' that isn't a theif can't be used to backstab.

My favorite weapon after I get UAI is the scarlet ninja-to. But because it is for Monks only, I can't use it for backstab. The other great weapon would be the staff of the Magi, but it is restricted to mages.

These are the ones I have tried, but I imagine the other restricted weapons like Cernd's staff, the druid staff, etc. would have the same problems.

My solution is I usually carry Celestial Fury for just for backstabs. I haven't found a better back-stabbing weapon yet!
