Is it good? Overbalanced? Corny? I want to know about it before I play it.

Thanks

I didn't like it very much, but it's balanced. Some combats are improved (like the Irenicus dungeon) and old friends from BG1 can now join to your party. There are some cool items, but the new kits are terrible.

It's a great MoD if uve played BG SoA and ToB countless times...

It isnt overpowered....the items are nice, they npc's also (no dialog though)...and the kits are pretty cool too IMO

Untill now it satisfies me :D

I also concur with the opinions voiced above :)
Although I did enjoy the mod, I found that it crashed way too often (or was it just me?). Some of the new NPCs were cool, such as Xzar and Montaron. I found some typos were annoying, though they probably are fixed by now. The kits were interesting, to say the least, though I found that they didn't have enough charm or staying power as some of the original ones. Though it's uninstalled at the moment, I would recommend you give it a try; as long as you have a good connection to download with.

I personally didn't like it too much. I like the interaction and banter among NPCs which are missing in TDD. There are countless kits, new monsters and encounters if they are your thing and the story line is good, if you can overlook the typos which crop up quite frequently.

I didn't think TDD was that great a mod. My main gripe with it is the number of bugs. There were several places where I didn't get quest items, items forged by Cromwell didn't show up, and later on, the game crashed whenever I tried to rest.

At first, I thought it didn't work.
But it also starts with that same old dungeon...

I gave up on it there. :D

Nope, there are some new monsters in the starting dungeon.

I found it to buggy, but if you have a higspeed connection (and only then) why don't you give it a try

Now that there is a tool available to cut the size of area graphics by more than 50% of their standard compressed size with minimal quality loss, it will be interesting to see if anybody repackages TDD as a much smaller download.

So do all mods except Epic Endeavours at the moment (well... I guess you could count DBG). But keep an eye out for TCs like Minto's TOIW (or has he changed to IWD2? I'm not sure) and the DLTC, which will bring totally new stories.

Might be worth doing. And any other mods in sight too (EE, SoS). Just depends if the mod authors (or some random person in the case of TDD) can be convinced to do it.
