Bozone, I would relish these starting stages where 100 drakes seems like a lot of money and you can't open a single chest and you get caught pickpocketing every time. I am now a very able and wealthy thief, but it is much more fun having to try hard before you accomplish something.

I too am a low level thief (currently 2nd level). Train your stealth and security up as high as you can...you should pick up some nice lockpicks in the early thief guild "jobs". If you get up around 50.. you should be able to steal in most any shop...just don't sell back to the person you stole from as they will know and then you get busted.

I can pick a lock but I would like to know were to make some dough. Does any one know were a good spot to steal is for a enterprising thief. Currently I am killing guards and selling their stuff.

The fastest gold i know is selling Common soul gems with Daedra and Bonelord souls to scamp and their weaponry to drunken mudcrab , and all in strict boudaries of RPG Have you even thought about backstabing? There is no such a term in MW , altogether my nightblade was getting "Critical hit" on every second turn or even more often when actually backstabbing . Then again, sneaking and shooting them down around the corner or from behind, isn't it a thing a clever thief might be doing?
