Crash at first ambush

Well, I reinstalled BG2 again and downloaded some weidu mods,
and now im soloing with a fighter/rogue (hell, I can never try anything un-rogue
)
BUT!
At the first "you have been weighleight (sorry dont know how to spell this, im dutch) by enemies and must protect yourself", the one where you get that magical short sword, the game crashes to the desktop.
is this a known problem?
Any solutions?

@Dazzo, could you be a litttle more specific about your machine specifications, how you uninstalled BG2 last time, and the *exact* order in which you reinstalled it, the patches, and the various mods? That might help.

ehm.. my machine =
P2 450mmx,
GeForce2 mx200 (err or 400)
128 RAM
Direct X 9.0
if you need more tell me.
I kinda formatted my computer 3 times since the last time i had bg2 on my machine (darn virusses).
Instalation:
Bg2 SOA
Bg2 ToB
latest Tob patch
and then.. the weidu mods..
sorry.. i have NO idea in wich order i installed them
BaldurDash ReMix
and Dungeon Begone
err.. I looked at my BG2Stuff folder and searched for the zips/rars and it looks like i had less mods installed than i thought

It seems Baldurdash Remix has this problem.

Your hardware seems fine. This appears to be a software related thingy. Have you downloaded all the latest versions of the mods? You can also try sending an email to Weimer @
weimer@cs.berkeley.edu.
