What am I supposed to do with this key?

I have found the Ancient Dwemer Door Key and I don't know what I am supposed to do with it. Any of the guides I've looked at don't mention what it's for. Cheers

It may open some door/chest (if one hasn't already opened it) in the place (in terms sort of ruins, outpost, cave etc), nothing special for most part, addresed to PC knowing little about lockpicking and not being able to cast proper level Open (altogether it wouldn't solve the traps problem). You'll have a lot of such keys of different names in the game, some even in 2-3 copies coming from quite unrelated locations.
