I have survived Chapter 5 and all of its loops. Now I find Chapter 6 somewhat loopy as well. I sure do miss the old Baldur’s Gate where actions (and sometimes even riddles) were not so acutely linear. Ok, not here to rant, though. I have found a stumbling block in this Chapter 6. Here goes:
1) Have solved the murder mystery
2) Have met up with Sabilic Tan’s lover
3) Got all the ingredients for the poison for Riki
4) Went down to Tan’s lover again to ask permission to use the lab—she says fine
5) Put all the ingredients on the table with my wizard (alchemy of around 18, I think) and poof—nix. Nothing.

Am I missing a step here? I have searched the entire room for “hidden” turn bars, but come up with nothing. If any of you have any tips on this, your help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you got pure demon blood not the tainted demon blood ?

I think you can use both tainted blood and demon blood in this case. When I had my paladin to speak with Riki he refused to poison them so Riki said that I could make a sleep potion by using the tainted demon blood. So I guess for a poison potion you use the demon blood and for the sleep potion you use the tainted demon blood. But you cannot create anything you like once you go down to the lab, just the one you agreed to mix with Riki.
