i have the staff its worth 210000 ive been offered 3000 in mournhold museum should i keep it as a weapon,hold out for a better price somewhere;or sell it?

Crab merchant or skamp perhaps (know nothing about merchants in Tribunal) You should have sold them a lot of less expensive items to be able to sell also this.

Where is this crab merchant? I hope I haven't killed him already.

On small islet east of Dwemer ruin Mzahnch. It is at sight range of the ruin. He can only afford 10 000.

i made an error in myoriginal ? i should have typed 30,000 but i dont know ifi should sell or use it.

In original (without expansions) Morrowind there are two (2) merchants selling and buying by face value: drunken mudcrab merchant and scamp in Caldera ( funds are acc. 10k and 5k). Scamp buys weaponry (weapons and armor), apparel (at least 6 House amulets for sure), soulgems (both filled and empty), potions. Not alchemic ingredients or apparatus, however. The crab buys only weaponry and potions.
So you say you have an item worth 30k. You dobtlesd have also items (say Daedric daggers or Ebony shortswords) worth 10k. Sell (in 2 approaches) 2 to him and next time get them back selling your 30k worth item. You're going to wait 24h between transactions, though. As a brass i use potions - Skooma 500, for example, sell him 20 at once. There are potions worth 100 and less, too. Sell him enough to use it latter as a brass to round up your setlements. Oh, i fell ill once (who of us wasn't ) and spent all that time i waited to be cured with the crab selling things. After that i never cared about the money the rest of game.
