Ok, so I finally came to the severed hand, and made some mess there. I came to the tower of war - to the prison cells and it seemed like a nice place to get some experience. I rested there, and a couple of Greater Feyrs (sp?) appeared, I got about 160 XP for each, but then I rested again and a patrol of slayer knights appeared. To my surprise, I never saw "the party has gained xxxx experience", so I checked in the individual character panes, and nothing... is it some kind of a bug, or what?

P.S. the same thing happens with fallen bladesingers

Black Isle narced the XP table to prevent "power-gaming". The higher in level your party is, the less XP they gain for each kill, so it's entirely possible to gain no XP.

Fair enough, but the thing that that puzzled me was that I got some XP for something with a low(er) CR, and none for a high CR monster.
