Since this questions does not show up on the five pages of posts, I am concluding that I must just be missing something...
I the Yuan-ti's palace, in the jungle...I don't know if I need to talk to some more "people" to get the combination to the vault or whatever it is...or if my skills are not just high enough to get the Viper Fangs to tell me more of the combination.
I can get the Viper fangs to start to talk about the first part of the riddle, but they always middway telling me everything..... don't know if that is supposed to happen, or if my skills are just not high enough???? Any clues about this Yuan-ti joint would be helpful thanks...

Is this the part where you travelled through the portal from Kuldahar to Chult?

I can't remember getting the proper combination for the vault - then again, I didn't really talked to any of them, I just killed them all. If I remember correctly, I got it opened by pressing the stones from the left to right - repressing any that pops back up.

yeah, that is waht I am talking about....but there is some sort of riddle that goes along with it....I'll try what you suggested, thanx

Just been looking through the dialogue files. The Viper's Fang only know the first half of the combination - Tenth, Third, Fifth. You need to have 16 or more Charisma.

The riddle for the second half is:

Yes, but there are only three steps, for the other three your feet would be hard-pressed to step, hee-hee! Hit not the same stone twice, and the sixth be the fourth, and the stone that follows the first be the last. The fifth... count the number of fangs Ashra teaches, and the fifth number you shall have!

Which results in Sixth, ?, and Eleventh

So the combination is Tenth, Third, Fifth, Sixth, ? and Eleventh - that's all I can figure out

heh heh....that was wierd.... but anyway I actually just got it. I have no idea if I actually did it in any pattern....I just got all of them down.... thanks much for help
