Swashbuckler confusion

Just struck my mind: what use would be the Assassination High level special ability for Swashbuckler if this kit does not have backstub at all. The icon for the ability is active, however, so one can choose it. What for, I wonder?

That's a very good question, I have no idea.
Doesnt assassination also gives you a few extra attacks per round?

Probably not
I believe Assasination just makes every attack a backstab. So, yeah, for a swashbuckler it would be pretty much useless.

That is exactly what have been puzzling me for a long time now. Would be much more logical to substitute Assassination for Swashbuckler with Wirlwind series.
I actually can see more readily Swashie and Blade performing wirlwind than any fighter (with exception of Kensai, of course
)

Ehr, Swashies do get Whirlwind instead of Assassination. It may or may not be in the original game, but get the latest official ToB Patch and the Baldurash ToB Fixpack and they should get Whirlwind instead.
