I was just wondering from any of you who have completed the game in heart of fury mode about the battle squares, Is it possible to beat the squares on rank 10? How likely am I to finishe it? I heard there are creaturs with over 1,000 hit points to be beaten in 60 secs.. I have imported all my charactors from the first game.

it can be done.

it's not easy, and quite often i used silly tricks like hiding in a door frame to wack away at a larger monster.

i used a ftr / barb, totally spelled up, champ strength, ghost armour, stoneskin, imp invis, hope, haste, bless ect ect ect.

used the gloden heart longsword and mace of disrupt most of all, with a lot of the greatsword that dooms on hit.

several of the fights came down to "getting lucky" w/ a disruption, lot of quicksaves / quick loads, but ti was not as bad as i thought it would be.

Cool, Thanks for the feedback , I have faith in my self now. I have not actually made it there yet but I want to be prepared. Is the heart of fury disruptor (mace) better than the orignal? Do you think that great sword is nessesary? Any body else want to chat about HOF Battle squares?

I don't get how it works, actually. I played a couple of those games, got some gold, some xp, nothing any good. Is there anything usefull in there? (if so, what?) And what's the difference between "levels" and "Ranks"?

Every rank has 5 levels.
You can win a level by getting 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 squares when you win.
When you complete all 5 levels you have won the rank.

When you won all 10 ranks, you're the master.

I'm currently in rank 4, and I got some decent items (potion of wisdom +2 permanent for example) but there should be some great items in the higher ranks

Hmmm...I just skipped them, and am now at the beginiing of chapter 3. Can i go back? And if not, should i reload?

Yes you can go back, I was in chapter 3, and i'm now doing the battle square.
I can't tell you for sure, when the last chance is to do it.
But I heared that you need to finish it before Kuldahar (whenever that is)

Yes, in the ice palace

In the beginning i just did some random battles in rank 1/2 and now i do not know wether i've finished the rank or not. Is there any way to see this?

Yes, when you have finished an entire rank, you cannot turn that switch anymore.

You have to remember what levels you completed

i'm now in the dragon lair in chap 3, can i go back to the battle squares?

Like I posted above.
You should be able to do it untill Kuldahar.
And maybe sometime later.
But I tried it at lvl 11, and I found it very difficult after rank5.
