Exporting Charactors from BG and TOSC

Just wondering if you can export your main charactor from Baldur's Gate (or TOSC) to Baldur's Gate II. If so can you also export your equipment, stats and inate abilities? I have the Gatekeeper cheat program and I did cheat in a few items. Could these items also be exported? (So I'm a little cheesy, what can I say)

Thanks BelRrriiiick

heloo agiain =)

YEs you can... you ahould just have to export your char from the final save you got in BG1, and then copy that save into your characters folder inte BG2.. .you will keep your stats, but not your equipment.

Hope this helped... :)

After you kill Sarevok and the game ends, your character is exported automatically to a folder called 'Characters' as 'char1'. Copy the file to the folder of the same name in BG2.

I don't know if this works on edited items but it works for normal..... if you pause while the screen in black in the very beginning of BG2. You can take all your equipment from your inv and put it in the floor..... then when irenicus has experimented on you you can pick the items up again..... I do this alot to get the cloak of balduran with me to BG2 :D , works like a charm everytime :D :D

Whether any forum user feels that cheats are "lame" or not, this forum has included them in discussion since its beginning. If you don't like cheats, then don't read the relevant threads, because your posts will be pulled if you have nothing else to contribute.

Further...

I believe that either Baldurdash or Ease of Use fix packs also allow retaining your gear from BG1, if you're inclined (see Reference crossroads above if you want one or both)

Also, there is a program called Shadowkeeper that works the same as Gatekeeper (actually, it works slightly better).
