Traitors!
My understanding is that this game is set in "the world of Fallout." It otherwise isn't a CRPG, isn't being made by the original Fallout team, and really uses the Fallout background simply as a means to sucker Fallout fans into buying something completely different.
FWIW, my understanding is that the Troika team is currently working on Greyhawk.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
It's just as stupid as when they did BG: DA. Using respected names for publishing hack'n'slash games isn't really something I like. I undersatnd it's purely marketing, but at least they could release it for PC, making it available for us fans.

If it had been for X-box though, I wouldn't hold my breath on a conversion.
But the problem is that the game haven't got many fans among the ps2'ers
From what I heard, they added insult to injury by announcing this game right after they did a poll on their website asking people what game they would like to be made first, who overwhelmingly chose Fallout 3.
As for the game itself, I'll say what I said on another forum: Cut them some slack. It's better they do something for fallout than to 1) leave the franchise for dead or 2) do a half-assed job with FO3. To be honest though, I'm doubtful this will turn out well, considering what's already been mentioned and that they're pushing for a 2003Q4 release.
