Why has my characters stopped gaining experience?

Most of my characters have stopped gaining experience for some reason.

I am now busy with the Candlekeep catacombs and fighting some doppelgangers but 4 of my characters' experience is not progressing further than 89 000.

Is this the limit? Am I supposed to dual-class them or what?

You have reached the experience cap.
There is a exp-cap-remover, but my link is dead.
I will look for a new location.

I have the xp-cap-remover now. But I am not sure how to use it yet. Where do I copy the files and wherefrom must I run it?

I used to use the TeamBG XP-cap-remover, but the link is dead

I will see if I have it stored somewhere.

Do you have Tales of the sword coast?

Try placing the XPCAP.2DA file that you can download here in you're override directory (backup all files it attemps to override)
And see if it works.
If not,
i'm out of solutions

(would you mind posting that you have downloaded the file, so i can remove it from the site, i use that site only for this sort of situation)

Found it, if the last one didn't work try BG_XPCAP.exe at the same site.

OK, got that one as well. But I can only try them out tonight as I am still at work here in South Africa. I will let you know tomorrow.

Stilgar,

The first one you sent me from your site worked fine. My men are gaining experience again and I was so happy I put in 3 hours of play last night progressing from the Candlekeep catacombs back to BG and finishing off the Iron Throne. Now I am looking for Sarevok.
