Discouraging Romances?

I have Jaheira and Viconia in my party, and I am going to do Jaheira's romance. How do I discourage Viconia without ticking her off? All the dialog options seem to be either for advancing the romance, or along the lines of "I hate you, don't talk to me".

Eventually they will ask you to side with one of them. Side with the right one, whoever that may be

No they just won't romance with you, plus if you want them both, use a patch, probably find it on search.
