I have decided to take a break from the politics stuff, so anyway after reading many comic books(not just Marvel Crossgen, DC , stuff like that), I have decided to start a superpower thread.

What superpower or superpowers would you like to have? and more to the point what would you do with it, this can be serious or not serious, it can be really fun like sneeking into the girl's locker room with invisibility powers or you can use your power to enforce world peace. I don't know have fun, use your imagination, whatever superpower or superpowers you want and what you would do with them.

I'll start, well I should I am the originator of the thread, lets see I would go with one superpower advanced telekinesis, and with it I would use it first to fly and then I would rule the world and enforce peace all over the globe, over time I would get bored, so I would use my gift to explore space and eventually come back to good old Earth in a thousand years or so.

Anyway your ideas, stupid or not stupid, or just really fun.

I have a superhero in my head already I have thought of a hundred times or so...


He controls small orbs of gravity... Much like how Magento can control fields of magnatism.. my man can control invisible (to others eyes not his) orbs of gravity aka heavy gravity light gravity non, 424252 lbs..

Also like Gambit he can control the size and strength through time and pressure. For instance if he concentrated hard enough he could keep a plane from taking off, but he would need utter concentration and silence.

The basic idea of him isn't a hero but more like a Chinese film ninja. He can punch harder than anyone else because he makes his fist wiegh more with gravity with each hit, and removes gravity in the small places anyone else would punch at.

Imagine an old ninja movie where one ninja goes to spin kick the other guy but his foot is stuck to the floor via his Gravity powers, then BAMright to the kisser... also my guy can soar like Crouching tiger hidden dragon.


Just jump and remove gravity around him.. kinda soar up...

I'm a dr. Strange wannabe myself.... Stopped collecting comics a few years ago though.

What are you talking about? I already have superpowers; I can cause red lights to turn green by doing nothing more than stare at them!

Telepathy and telekinesis would be great. Well, those, and shapeshifting. Yes, I think I'll settle for those three.

@HLD, speaking of useless superpowers, you should look for an interesting RPG/graphic adventure hybrid game from the early 90s, called Superheroes of Hoboken. It was made by Mike Mazursky, one of the funniest men in the gaming business (did Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy--totally unlike the book--and Leather Goddesses of Phobos), and featured superheroes who could summon pizza, or dramatically raise the cholesterol level of villains. One of the villain types they faced that I recall was a Psychic Televangelist, whose attack took the form a blow throw your wallet.

I want super powers like that one crappy 80's movie with the guy who played Charles in Charles in charge, in which he had the ability to "ZAPP" cloths off people.. i think the movie was called that orsomething..

I want to be able to pick winning lottery numbers

If I can't have that - I want to be able to pick winning football matches - or just good stock options

I think it would be cool to be a techno-path; that is, have the ability to interact and understand machines at the most basic level. Just by touching something, you would instantly know how it works and you would be able to control computers and electronics with thoughts instead of needing to use input devices or screens to see their data.

Telekinesis and flight (wingless) would be cool, as well.

When I was in college, I used to run a Heroes Unlimited: Second Edition game (in the Palladium system) with some buddies. After having a few too many drinks one night I let my friends roll up a party with custom super abilities. One of them chose Metamorphosis: Cheese, while another took the ability to instantly transmutate any liquid to beer simply by touching it. It was a lot funnier when we were loaded.

Xandax has a good idea.

But I think I would be a realy boring,
I would settle for flying,
and maybe some other stuff to impress the girls with.
(So where back at Xandax's choice )

I'm sure girls wouldn't be impressed by men flying around - they'd just be suspecious that you used it to "pick up" other women

But then you'd have to get specially tailored shirts. That would be a pain in the butt.

For a mutation, I'd pick something like blue skin and a prehensile tail; chicks dig the Nightcrawler look.

Oooh, blue skin and prehensile tail (the last sounds particularly intriguing)

I don't know if this qualifies as a superpower, but I'd like to build a time machine, and travel back and forth in time.

Other useful superpowers:

The ability to avoid parking fines no matter where you parked your car.

The ability to appear an excellent conversationalist while asleep.

The ability to erase any written material on bumperstickers on cars.

The ability to destroy ghettoblasters and car radios turned up high enough to cause small seismic disturbances.

LOL...Sounds like my kind of Super Hero

Some things I'd like, in order:

1) Telekinesis would be damn cool to have.
2) The ability to read minds.
3) Invisibility.

They kind of cover what would be nice to have in todays world...but this is what would be REALLY cool:

1) Ability to move like the people in The Matrix.
2) I'm a pyro, so control over fire.
