portraits ?

I've created a "portrait" folder, made sure my pictures were sized right . 110x170 big 38x60 small. but in the customize option part of the appearance its blank, what the heck is going on.
IWD2 portraits are different in size from other BG and IWD games
Large 210 x 330
small 42 x 42
