i imported my character from BG1. he had the GPs on him. i thought they were suppose to carry over?
If they're not there, something must have went wrong

Hmm, they should be behind the trapped and locked picture on the wall in the room with the golem, where you normally find a dagger +1...

You can keep all your old equipement too, if you pause the game before your character first groans (a black screen, the interface is hidden). Then, just drop all your equipement to the ground.
Cheap, but it works.
