How do I import my BG chars into BG2?

I am starting BG2 now and had some pretty strong characters in BG. When I try to import them into BG2 I do not see them under the options. Which files should I copy where?

Hmm... Well i cant remember exactly but i think you go to your baldurs gate 1 character file copy the character you want and paste it into the baldurs gate 2 character file

There are two way:
1. In BG1, use Export button in the character stats page (I'm in my office and can't check my game), then Import at the character creation in BG2.
2. Copy Saved Game file from BG1 into BG2 Saved Game holder. At the character creation, import the character from saved game.

Just in case you don't know where any of the save files are, you:
Go to 'my computer' in the desktop
Go to C:
Go to program files
Find Black Isle folder
Go into Bg1 folder
Go into save folder, find the character you want in bg2, copy
Go back until you can go into the bg2 folder
Go into save
Paste
Then in Character Creation you just go to import, then to saved file, and it should be there under your name.
