How do I attack the fire elementals in the furnace room of the planar sphere? My characters say weapon ineffective when I attack them.

Same as everything else, but don't use firebased spells like fireball. They're not that hard really.

Blows the old adage 'fight fire with fire' completely out the water eh?

All my characters say weapoin ineffective when I attack them though.

Why do my characters say weapon ineefective then?

Try using +1 or above weapons on then.a +3 can damage almost anything in the game.

Different enemies in the game require different types of weapons in order to make contact and cause them damage: clay golems require blunt weapons, elementals require at least +1s, some of the more difficult enemies require as much as +3-+5 to hit. Keep swingin'.

All my charachters have at least +1 weapons. The only thing I have found that can hit it is my thief with a +4 sling and +2 bullets. They can't be this tough, can they?
