If Khalid shrieks "Better part of valor, better part of valor!!" just one more time.....

*Sigh* I understand your problem, but well it's part of Khalid, he runs away a lot. (that's why I usualy drop him )

Okay, two options:

• Make sure he doesn't become frightend, with spells or potions, this is always handy.
• Remove the "Better part of Valor" soundscript, someone can probably help you out here if you use the right subject.

Owh now come on, he isn't that good a fighter, the only good thing about him is the fact that he can specialize because of it and get mastery in things, but he hasn't got great stat's and it is really annoying to have remove fear in your spellbook.

I know, but even when I'm not powergaming (which in my opinion isn't much fun after one go) I never take him in my team.

It's just very annoying to have a fighter, who, when you have a odd team with a lot of weaker, more fun, char's, is your tank and takes a beating. Runs away when he takes said beating.

ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!.... I want to kill of doppelgangers in a cool, fun to watch way...splattering their limbs across the walls, but hey to cast spells or fire arrows I have to keep them away from my archers, thieves and mages, but that won't work if I also have to keep them away from my fighter.

BTW Coot Again, I presume you once were Coot? what happend?

Khalid barely ever runs away for me. At least not more than my other party members. Only time he runs is when he has like 1hp left and sometimes I am glad he does so because otherwise he would just die and I would have to load. I like Khalid because he is a fun character... who do you prefer... that b*tch Tar Sheel (shar teel? whatever)? please...

oh and Khalid is a good fighter don't know why you would need to keep anyone away from him... He always takes the front line for my party and I never have any difficulties.

Nope, I usualy take Coran in my party as archer and Minsc with the worlds edge and the bracers of (thac0 +2). That'll do nicely....yehes !

Just gove Khalid the gloves of ogre power and he's a great tank.... he is how ever a bit pathetic until you get the gloves with his minimal strength......

That's true, but you get the gauntlets in the low Lantern and it's a bit late in the game...

In defense of Khalid...

He performed really well for me in BG, only one morale fail that I can recall, and that one made a lot of sense.

A little of topic, my current BG2 char. has got Tiax his soundset !

Personally, I liked the BG characters a lot more than the BG2 ones. Khalid, Kivan and Coran should of been in BG2 for sure. Although, credit to BG2 Imoen and Jaheria were improved.

I think Jaheira's pic in BG1 is hotter though. They shoulda kept that.
