Tactics spoiler - Mindflayers, eeek!

Ok, I'm having a heck of a time with those *&^^*%$ improved mindflayers in the sewers. That combination of innate true sight, invisibility and dimension door after (appaently) random party members is driving me crazy.
I can't split out the hulks, doors seem to do no good, and I can't trap them to death or melee the whole lot down fast enough. What am I doing wrong?
Suggestions eagerly solicited.

Have you tried hasted skeletons? Invisible Stalkers are also immune to psionics.

Did you check out the Readme.txt file about the Imp. Illithids?
There are some nifty tactics there..

More fun..
Yeah, I finallly read the file - no split, fog of war, trap or pet wave tactics here! I tried the stalkers - skeletons, pre-level 14, are just way to fragile to handle the hulks. I may retry with a heavily buffed rush, especially if I can get some more greenstone amulets or wait untill I can summon some M-swords.

Throw some cloudkills in and beef up your top fighter. Give him some extra potions and Chatoic Commands. Hopefully the hulks will be mostly dead with the spells and such. Your fighter should be immune to the mindflayers mind stuff and with all hte armor he shouldn't get hit too often. I believe that the intelligence lost is restored over time.

No cloudkill
Thorin, if they take damage, or are attacked by pets without party characters in sight, these guys port in. That's why I can't use fog of war approaches (like offscreen cloudkill) with the improved mindflayers. Currently I'm working on the Unseeing eye bit with a different party. That's so much fun for a lowbie party

hmmmm....
i assume no fighter has greater deathblow, right? no, too low a level for level 14 skellies...g death blow and fire seeds...
party composition please...
do you have sola mod installed?? you might come back after picking him up...use impr haste and prot from magic weapons...a flail and kundane, that should work...

No lesser deathblow, either
ToB, tactics, Sola, Ease of Use, Spell 50 are isntalled. Party is Kensai12 /thief, Edwin (sorcerer).Jaheira, Jan, Valygar & Yoshimo. Just started Chapter 3, still have to do twisted rune, Kuroisan, dragons & Kangaxx.
The innate true sight on these guys sadly negates my parties nasty backstab capabilities.
Edwin is just about to reach level 14, and I'm debating M-sword or project image as his first spell. I need to check - I think I have an M-sword scroll that I could cheese with an image.
