Yes, I usually get both. They make 2 different kinds of Armor.

The red scales make great armor for a warrior and the shadow scales make great armor for a ranger (and any other studded leather only kits, I guess it's considered studded leather because my ranger could wear it). You can have the armor made by taking the scales to the Dwarven smith in the Docks District. All it requires is the scales, 7500 gold and a day of your time. Good luck..

Mm, weird. When you drop the respective Dragon, they should *always* drop the scales on them ... it doesn't matter in what order you do this. I have had both scales in both my games. Perhaps you didn't look good? I don't know ...
Anyway, Cromwell says it takes a day to make it, but if you check the time BEFORE and AFTER creating the item, you'll see that not even an hour has passed to make it. I don't know if they can advance the game clock with such an event, but if they can, they have obviously forgotten about it. It takes NO time to have them make these items, both in-game, and in RL

You sad Arsenal gits.....
I like most of the players in Arsenal......especially Ljungberg, Kanu, Henry, Wiltord.....
Can't say that I care much about Keown or Seaman.....and as a team I just hate Arsenal....almost as much as Chelsea...

thank you for pointing that out. i've had minsc in plate mail the whole time and couldn't figure out why his stealth button was greyed out. i put the shadow armor on him and tada! none shall see me, though my battle cry may give me away
now if i could only figure out why keldorn's "turn undead" is greyed out...

you didn't, by any chance, disintegrate one of those dragons, did you? That would destroy the scales. And yes, I have both sets of armour as well.
