intellect devourer

Okay, so I never found the brain after I killed the Head Gaoler. I was thinking that it might be because I didnt talk to the guards till after I killed him, but I never saw an intellect devourer. Is there anywhere else I might find the brain? Please help...

the divourer is supposed to get in one of the guard's brain and then that guard attacks you. didn't the guards attack you?

have you installed the latest patch? This was a bug that kept coming up in previous patches..

I had a question about this too. I killed the intellect devouer (Which was a pain), but he lowered my intellegence. It will not go back up. Is this a perm spell? I cannot find any kind of healing service in town at all, much less to heal this.
Also where in town do i get items identified?

The intelligence drain is not permanent, get Aribeth to heal you. As for identifying any place selling items can identify for you.
