Fun Ideas for themed parties

Well, I thought I may dedicate a thread to other ideas for parties made of characters from different genres, and I have an idea that I wish to share. I'll reply with my ideas when someone has some feedback.

In case any are wondering, my idea involves my fav show since I was a kid, The Transformers. Any fans of that here?

Oh, and I just thought I'd say that those were smart ideas with the LotR-style parties and all.

When I saw this, the first thing that came to my mind was:

The Brady Bunch!

Greg - Human Bard (From his days as Johnny Bravo)
Marcia - Aasimar Paladin (Goody Two Shoes)
Peter - Elf Ranger (Elves are a little smaller in the game than Humans, so he'll look smaller than Greg)
Jan - Moon Elf Cleric
Bobby - Halfling Fighter/Thief (again, smaller than his big brothers)
Cindy - Gnome Illusionist

Team Underdark

Composed of drow palladin of Helm, priestess of Lathlander, mandatory ranger (take that Drizzt) for navigating in that wood maze. Two duergar fighters, and deep gnome wizard.
All goody-two-shoes.

A bunch of totally substandard characters would be fun, like a low charisma half orc sorcerer, some nerd fighters, and so on.

I did a party of shorties once: dwarfs and halflings.

This would be a cool idea: think of the best fun partyand elaborate.

Fantastic Party

Politicians and started a thread earlier but it did not go over to well. I just want to add Xena, Hercules, Gabriel, Ioules, Joxer and Autolicus.

Uruk -hai

Too bad there is no Uruk-hai. People in Targos docks, "Hey what are those nasty looking black faced brutes? Aieeeee! Orcs, run away!" Party, " Please, wait! We are here to help you. We just want to kill all those substandard wanna-be orcs and goblins. Drat, where did everyone go?" (By this time, half of Targos population is running past besieging goblin horde)

Someone recently had mentioned creating an all-thief party and it sounded like fun. So I created a new group so that everyone in the party has a couple of levels of Rogue. This is what I have:

Human Bard as a leader
Gold Dwarf Fighter/Rogue
Tiefling Barbarian/Rogue
Strongheart Halfling Rogue/Ranger
Drow Cleric (Demark of Mask)/Rogue
Gnome Illusionist/Rogue

Usually everyone but the Bard hides and sneaks into the battle area. Bard parlays with the leader and then the rest of the group can backstab (one guy or multiple guys) as the battle starts. So far it's fun!

There you have it, a party made of some famous robots in disguise.

By the way, what would be a good way to balance out a bard's stats in the game, and which is the best race for the class? Of course, give 6 to 8 points to his Cha for spellcasting(therefor set at 16 or 18, but what about Dex and Int? I would think you'd want a Bard to have at least 16 Dex, but how important is Int? Elves seem to be the best choices for bards, mainly drow (bonuses, to Dex, Int, and Cha). I just wanted some help with that.
