(spoiler) Trouble In Dragons Eye

So I'm finally on the 4th level of the dragon eye, and met that big round one-eye creature Zil T'Yor. In the dialog, instead of choosing "Die..." and battle right away, I chose "We'll return". Then I buffed up, summoned some undead, and attacked. After defeating them I exit. But I got back to Level 3 instead of time travelling!
Where did I do wrong?

Don't go out of the cave entrace (on the ledge), you need to take the ferry to the 'exit to the fields of slaughter' and take the exit that is directly south of the cave entrance. Sorry if that sounds confusing. Move your mouse down from the main entrance and you will notice it change to another transition thingy.
