Hi
When I try to get Crassius Curio to name me horator, he asks me to take off my clothes. In the game I'm a female. I've been to all of the other people and he keeps asking to do to "Uncle Crassius" a favor "dumpling" and leaves me no other other options than "goodbye". Can anyone hlelp me get past him?

That's a new one on me. Mind you, I've never played a female character.

Try saving, disrobing and see what happens. Crass as it may seem, this is virtual reality after all.

Aside from using a console command (sorry, don't know it; and for PC users only) there's no way around; Crassius is the co-ordinator for Hlaalu. Until you legally acquire the Belt of the Horator from him, you not in.

Heh, I'm female myself and I've been wondering about this too ... does Uncle Crassius react in the same way to male charms or not?

Anyway, take of all your apparel, also amulets, belts ... so you're naked and talk to him again ... He should be very pleased.

(Well, I hope at least so, he's become my sponsor that way.)

Yes, he makes both males and females strip for him. It has nothing to do with 'charm'. You could be an ugly orc and he still would ask you to strip. I can think of only two instances where males and females are treated differently. First is the rogue you meet on the road south of Pelagiad. If you're male he demands money, if you're female he asks for a kiss (I was playing a female orc monk and he still was pleased with the kiss). Second is that Telvanni councilor who hates men. If you're a male you have to persuade her to name you horator, but if you're female she laughs at the irony of the Neravarine being a woman, quickly names you horator and gives you some loot (scrolls or potions, can't remember which).

I have completed the main quest twice and I don't remember having to stip for him; I may have, I just don't remember. Hmmmm. I wonder if disposition has anything to do with it. Odd, very odd.

I've tried to bribe him but you're not given the chance. He tells you to strip and then it says "goodbye" no other choices.

He didn't have me strip but...

He did ask me to kiss him and I'm male.

Worked like a charm! I gave him a lil' summin' summin' and he gave me what I wanted. I did refuse to kiss him though, paid him instead.

Maybe it depends on whether you've joined House Hlaalu or belonged to another house and just asking him for his support as horator. Or it could be dispostion or possibly its random. IIRC he wanted my female char to strip when I first went to him to be my mentor. I think all the other times he only asked for a kiss when my char was asking for his support. Either way, Crassius is a sweetheart so why not give him what he wants? If you play the Hlaalu quests for him you'll see that he's really a good guy who is against corruption or mistreatment of the poorer folks.
