Well... A bit of a shocker, Buck. i'm still somewhat undecided at the moment, but it certainly is new... Not bad, but new.

Love the new look Buck. The pop-down menues are great. Adn I love it that you have put a 'HOME' button at the bottom of the page. This is something that I have often longed for when navigating through all of the links. The page is crisp and clean once I was logged in. It is a beautiful and very user friendly layout. I am still having problems when I navigate off the home page and into the gameing pages, but I am sure that once these bugs are worked out, it will flow beautifully.
One thing I was wondering, perhaps it would be good to have a 'subscribe' button at the top beside the log in feature?
And a "Home" button on every page

For a more in-depth look at the new layout and how it will look throughout the site, check out our new
Star Wars: KotOR site. The new layout has been used on every page there.

Well, like I said, a shocker. Something that's nice and comfortable is suddenly new and scary. Though, it seems to work. BTW, regarding KotOR, check your mail
I've made my call on the layout, though. I do like it.

I like it because it is more simplistic then the old one.
I've always been a fan of functionality over looks

Works for me.

Can't say I feel that strongly about it, though.

I'm undecided, so I won't vote. The new site is a lot snazzier though

The only thing I don't like is the title GameBanshee is too small in comparison with the ad on the top. The ad catches my eyes before I realised I was acrually looking at the right website.
I think
You need to be noticed for more members, Buck.

Simplicity is good yet as Minnie stated GB logo are too small compared with the adverts. Hence the old one still better

Too many layers to get to the news and no date to tell you when it was posted. Every time I want to check out a story I now have to scan the headlines, click 'MORE', wait for the next screen to load, read the snip and click the link for the full story. I liked the news being posted by the date and the snip below the headline, that way I could see at a glance if it was something fresh. Now I have to scan all the headlines to see if I can recollect having read it before.
Other than that the new layout is okay.

Just wanna comment on the new forums layout, nicely done. Yet GB logo on GB main site should be as big as GB forum

One change that just went into effect which I don't care for is the narrowing of the horizontal borders of the forum. Messages take much longer to scroll through, as a result.

For those of you who don't like the fact that the forums are hard-coded at 800x600 resolution, I've went ahead and made a "FullScreen" template that you can choose in User CP -> Options that will instead make the forums fit your browser window. You'll most likely have to logout/login again and clear your browser's cache if you choose this new layout, but it should work. Let me know if you have any problems with either layout.

Yay!

Thanks, Buck!

Hmmm. Seems to work fine for the general categories screen, but once I select a category--SYM, BG2/SoA, BG2/ToB, etc--I drop back to short width, no matter what user choices I've made.

I've lost the ability to access the panel at the top (where User CP etc was kept.) It's there if I log out, but when I log in, it goes. The same throughout the forum...

I have noticed this too; I can only access User CP by first going into my Private Messages from the link at the bottom of the Main Forum menu page.
