Restarting game

I haven't played Morrowind for some time, and was going to start up a new game. Of course, I've gotten Tribunal in the meantime, which will affect the multiplyers my character receives when making levels.
My question to you is, what are the changes in multiplyers? Can I still gain points to multiplication from using secondary skills, without having them count toward a new level? Are big multiplyers simply a thing of the past? In advance, thanks.

To be honest, I didn't notice any difference in the multipliers with Tribunal loaded. For example, I can make speechcraft a miscellaneous skill, practice on someone until I've gotten a half dozen or so increases and on my next character level up I will still have a huge multiplier towards Personality. I've seen no difference in last two games with Tribunal as compared to before I loaded the expansion. I would suggest just playing the game as you had previously (keeping in mind that there still is no master trainer for Med Armor, etc.)

The only difference, Fable, is that if you train a misc skill, it now counts towards your multipliers. So getting 3 x 5 at level ups is easier then ever, providing you have the cash.

Thanks for the info. I'd originally heard they planned to make it harder to level with the patch, but it does indeed seem like they've done the opposite.

Very much the opposite. Btw, since you're running through a new game anyway you should snag Bloodmoon when it comes out next week as well. It looks to be a significantly better expansion then Tribunal was.

Absolutely. Though I'm the type of player who prefers to wander around in such a gaming environment, never doing the main quest until almost everything else has been explored. Non-linear games rule.
