Quest mods: the best-written, most elaborate, and bug-free

Just curious about this. I've been struck by discussions on other boards raving about specific quest mods, only to discover halfway down in a given thread that someone's personal current fave is unfinished or crashes several times. Oh, but it can be restarted, and it's sooo good!

Then, there was the case of a specific modder who crowed that his mods were in use so often, but apparenty had great difficulty with English in the process.
So what quest mods would you recommend, that are 1) finished, 2) bug free, 3) well-designed and balanced?

My partner in crime, LDones, is just wrapping up the last of the touches he's been putting into the Illuminated Order mod I started last october. I expect to have a release candidate in my hands tonight or tommorrow, with a public release on friday.
But for you, PM me your email address and I'll send you the release candidate before the general release.
..I've been struck by discussions on other boards...
Ah. I'd been wondering if the Fable a couple of people are insulting in their sig files on the official boards was you.
The only other worthwhile mod I've found for quests is Brother Juniper's Twin Lamps mod.... just be sure to get the final version off Morrowind Summit, not one of the earlier releases.
A lot of people like Tenaka's quest mods, and a lot like Children of the Night, too. I don't personally care for either, but you might.

Just in case anybody is wondering, the above is an instance of humor.

I've not joined or commented on any other boards--who would have the time?

Thanks; that's kind of you, but not necessary. It's not like I lack for things to do in the meantime--and this is despite having stopped watching television more than a dozen years ago.

Well-organized collection of mods, shunts you over to FilePlanet where you have to divulge your life history and agree to sign up for endless spam in order to download anything. Is that anyway to run an airline?

I know, I know, Fileplanet sucks. No argument from me.
In any case on the IO mod, I'll post here once it's publicly released, so you're welcome to it then.
As far as folks insulting -someone- named Fable, I wasn't kidding, I'm afraid. See this thread
http://www.elderscrolls.com/ubbthreads/ ... &fpart=all and look for posts by Changer_of_ways and SasukeDeru.

Weird. I wonder who the Fable is they repetitively "hate."
From everything I've heard, Twin Lamps is a fine mod. I tried downloading it off the modder's French website; not only is it incredibly slow, but the version he has up is actually earlier (1.0 vs. 1.1) than the one offered through Morrowind Summit. Guess I'll have to wait for the novel.
Looking forward to yours, though. Good luck with it.

I've only tried the mods from the official Elder Scroll Pages. Most are lackluster but they do seem to be bug free and enhance the game a bit. One adds the extremely lame adamantium medium armor (don't know why anyone would waste their time with this junk), another adds sounds and dragonflies to the swamps (nice asthetics but little else). The best IMO is the propylon quest plug-in (a mage in Caldera will stear you to all the propylon indices and when you collect them all he will make you a single master index and he controls the travel to and fro.) Another one adds some Le'fem armor but I've not bothered to check it out and yet another adds an assault on an Imperial fort off the coast of Seyda Neen thats been overrun by a lich and his pathetic bow-fodder skeleton warriors. I tried the unofficial mod that gives you new and tougher beasts but it didn't load properly so I abandoned it. Anyway, this is a good question that you've posed and I hope to find some decent plug-ins some day myself.

Uncle, let me do a little self-pimping. Check out
http://www.hiredgoons.net/MWFiles/IlluminatedOrder/ for info and screenshots of what I've been busy with. Another couple of days til it's out -- but it WILL be out before Bloodmoon, and it'll be worth it.

So as not to limit this topic too much, though, let me repeat my earlier question to all:
What quest mods would you recommend, that are 1) finished, 2) bug free, 3) well-designed and balanced?

One that's getting some pretty positive buzz right now is Isle of Tusar. It's only been out a week or two, though, and I think it's been updated a time or two to correct bugs. I can't swear the current version is bug free.
(As an aside, Fable.... there's a reason there are so few user-created questing mods, and why most of those tend to be buggy. Quests are -difficult- to create in the editor. Anything beyond a kill check or an item-in-inventory check requires scripting, and just setting up bug-free dialogue can be an extensive effort. It's not hard to learn, but it's -very- time consuming to do properly.)

Oh, I know. I used to work in writing/programming/DMing for a gaming company that runs a popular MMORPG, and the scripting language was extremely intense. I suspect it was a few steps up from Morrowind, but that's not to denigrate anybody who attempts quests in the latter. I'm merely asking, as I did above, for specific recommendations.
