Massive amounts of Potions of Healing bug

I found a bug in Baldur's Gate: Tales Of the Sword Coast! A bad bug? No! Nothing wrong with a bug that allows you to heal all your party members and perhaps do it later on (can someone say a stack of 100 health potions?)
Anyway this bug is performed like so:
-Get at least 2 potions of healing and stack them.
-Go into inventory (ie right-clicking character portrait; pressing i)
-right-click the 2 potions of healing and click drink
-do it again right away after
-wait for the health potion to be down to 1, then click on it to pick it up. say holding it until you see the number disappear.
-put it back down and drink it again.
-pick it back up and wait for it to go to some huge number!!
-this is because the potion number goes to -1, so therefore the amount of potions is set to the largest number possible, I think it's 65025

Oh this works for any potion! I'm going to see if anything else can do the same thing

How about rogue stones or diamonds? That would be rich!

This also works for IWD (without the expansion. I think it'll work with it, too).
It won't work for Torment, though, because in the inventory if you click "use item" or "drink item" or whatever, it disappears right away... it doesn't wait for a turn (a turn is 7 seconds, right? or maybe it's a round...) in order to use another...
I have BG2 + the expansion, but it's not installed (it will when I win BG). Someone should see if it works in BG2 and in IWD2.
If this is in IWD2 and BG2, then perhaps Bioware and Black Isle should put out a patch... sure, you could just say, "it's cheating and I won't do it" but still it's weird to have it there, they should at least do it so you can do the potion trick ONLY if cheats=1
In BG, cheats wasn't on and it still did it.

It doesn't look like you can do it with diamonds or rogue stones... it seems only possible to use with items that you can "use" in the inventory by right-clicking on it. Most items, all you can do is "drink potion" or "write spell". All others just have descriptions... You can't do it with spell scrolls because they disappear right away if you do "write spell" and if you have 2 and the spell actually writes, well you can't do it again to the next one to make the stack say 0. But if it fails... well you'll still have to do it again to make it -1... so basically you have to have a pretty crappy mage or cleric or whatever to get a tonne of spell scrolls, because they have to fail twice. maybe if you get really powerful 9th level spells and try to make your 4th level mage memorize them...

It should work for any potion item even attribute. The game engine cant handle negative numbers so it "warps" them into the highest possible. I have a sorcerer in BG2 that has 25 charisma w/o any items. Theres a staff or omething with 20% chance of you losing 1 point charisma. Get your charisma down to 1 wear a Nymph Cloak (+2 charisma) and take it down 2 points. Unequip cloak and Voila you are now so ugly youre beautiful. I havent played BG but you should be able to do the same with any stat if you have a item that makes you lose that stat and an item that increases it

Cool trick!
Anybody want a cheap 6000000 goldpieces? just perform this trick with two storm giant strength potions (be smart and do it near a merchant, because I don't want to meet the hero that can carry 65000 potions and still...move)
Derived from this trick:
let one drink two potions very quickly, pick up the second potion before it disappears and give it to another who immediately drinks it, both of them will be under the influence of the second potion (not as cool as the trick mentioned above though and most of you will have figured this one out on your own probably)
