Hi all
I'm thinking of starting a new D&D group of gamers. I'm new to the game myself and was wondering if anyone in Sheffield would like to get together sometime to have a game? I think that it would be great fun, but I don't know anyone who is intrested in playing with me. So if your intrested, then please let me know and maybe we can start a group.

I hope so. I haven't actually played before, I'm trying to find some peeps who I can play with, I'm waiting till next moonth to actually get started because of the new rule books coming out.

Do you have any of the Third Edition stuff? Have you read any of the Players Handbook or Dungeon Masters Guide? It's actually pretty easy to pick up and get used to. You can get them from Amazon.co.uk now.

Have you got any questions about it at all?

I've not actually read any of the third edition stuff, but my aunt used to play it and she taught me the basics. I was going to get the third edition stuff yesterday, but when I heard about 3.5 I decided to wait.
I so want to try it though. I've only ever played a RPG online before

Apparently it's very similar (3.5) to 3. Still, there are a few changes. Have you tried searching on the net for local groups in Sheffield?

Hehehehehe, that's their job, to scam money from peeps. I was talking to a guy who had been playing for over twenty years and he said that it was mostly the same, but all the future games would be based on that, so I realy should wait.

I did try looking for groups in sheffield, that's how I came across this site.

So where abouts are you in Sheffield? I occasionally go up there when I train at Ponds Forge.

I live in deepcar, a few miles away from ponds forge, but I go into town at least once a week.

Oh right, cool, can't say I'm familiar with much of Sheffield, normally I just get driven there and back.

Nope. I don't go to ponds forge specifically, except to take my sister swimming and to watch my friend play water polo.

Ah well, when it's on you'll have to check it out, water polo's cool as well, bloody hard though.

Water polo is dangerous. You wouldn't believe the injuries she gets! Heh, Maybe I will check it out sometime.

It's a weekend, its normally pretty quiet anyway, I'm sure someone'll pick up on it. If not, you can always join one of the role play/writing threads on here.

I don't like doing them RP writing things. It just doesn't feel right.

Oh well, If Nobody else talks to me by wednesday, then I'm going to find a chat room and flood it. Hehehehe. It's my birthday then.
