Diseases (and immunity)

I was just wondering: My Redguard fighter had full immunity against all varieties (sp?) of diseases, so is it still possible to become a vampire (or werewolf)? Because I think it's a disease.
Thanks in advance.

Whilst we're on the subject - I never did find out how to become a vampire when I was playing Morrowind. I didn't meet vampires during my quests who did anything other than try to kill me.
How do you become one?

-I think- you just have to get the **** beaten out of you by a Vampire.
I ran into some vampires (i think they were vampires, they had Vampire-ash (or whatever) on them when I looted them) in some dungeon, but I forgot which one

I havent tried this myself but this is what I have gathered from diffrent sites. You find a vampire, any one should do, you then let it bit you untill you get a message saying you are infected or something like that. Then you are a vampire.
@Fer'or In Bloodmoon if you are imune to diseases you get ONE chance to become a werewolf. If you are not immune you can do the same as with vamps.

Near the end of Bloodmoon you get a ring that transforms you into a werewolf

Let them bite me? You mean "Let them beat the **** out of you" ?

Wow - I never knew that. You'd think some character in the game would tell you about this.
I assume there are benefits to being a vampire stats wise - you're probably very strong, etc but can you go out during daytime and are other people scared of you?

All vampires will attack you on sight. Don't let just any vampire bite you though if you want to get the most out of becoming one yourself. There are three warring vampire clans and you can join one of them and do their quests if one of their own infects you. But if you get bit by a non-aligned vampire you won't be able to join any of the clans. One clan is NE of Molag Mar in the dwemer ruins of Nchardumz (its the one that the Molag Mar Temple Cult sends you to wipe out). Another is on one of the Shegorad islands in a cave/tomb called Ashmelech, NE of Valenvaryon. The third group is in another dwemer ruin called Druscashti SW of Urshilaku Camp. Any other vampires you run into are nonaligned so just kill them on sight. I used destroy weapon spells on my vampire attacker so that he had to fight me with his fists. I think you can lower your resistence to disease with potions so its easier to contract vampirism. Once you are a vampire you can only travel at night. Traveling during the daylight causes constant damage to you. Also not many folks will talk to you though the mage guild folks find your vampirism fascinating and will give you some quests. Depending on which clan you join you may be able to get some otherwise unobtainable weapons. Once you're tired of being a vampire you can get yourself cured by following the clues in the books that talk about it.

5.0 HOW TO CONTRACT THE DISEASE
To get the disease you have to let the vampire hit you with Hand-to-hand or a weapon,
magic does not work. When you are "bitten" a message box will appear saying you have
contracted poly(somethin) hemophylia. Once you get that get inside of something, a
place with an empty bed that you can sleep in. You will need to sleep for three days
and you will have a dream. You are now a vampire

But my redguard has a 100% immunity to common diseases. Does a Weakness to common diseases-spell lower this?

Of course.

I've read on other forums that some have bypassed the Corprus Immunity to Common Disease with this spell just to contract vampirism.
