You can have a harper in your party, though: Jaheira.

Well, you're a druid who can ressurect. Regular druids can't. And presumably, in some game that focused on Harpers, you'd get benefits that came from locating out of the guild headquarters--kind of like having your own place with different professions, now. Maybe you'd get other spells; after all, some dead Harpers manifest a great deal of power from beyond the grave. Look at what happens to Monteron.

Probably some special powers as such if you could be a Harper. Remember the statue in Galvarey's house? "Mystra, Goddess of Magic and friend of Harpers". Spectral Harpists. Etc.. So Harpers as such have some tricks in their sleeves what others perhaps do not have, but other then that, no, you cannot become a member of Harpers. Jaheira is that and really one "neutral" is enough to me heh..

You could have for fighters a "Cult", mages could join Cowls.....

Remember that Druid is not the only "main class" of the Harpers... Bards are also commom Harpers. But I must say there are cooler guilds to oin then the Harpers. Like Zhentarim.. Maybe i´m just evil :) .

Anyway this is my first post.

Welcome to the board, Plane.

It also says in the manual that Rangers and Elves form a large number of Harpers.
