Accidents

Yo. I just got in an accident. Luckily it didn't mess up my car or the other guys, just a little dent in each. And it wasn't my fault. I'm still twitching, tho. First time its ever happened to me. Its kinda funny, now that I think about it. I knew I was only going about five mph, and I still went into a complete panic as this guy shifted into my lane. My hands are still shaking. Luckily the guy (and my parents) were real nice about it, no one seemed anything more than mildly amused by it. Anyway, I don't seem to really be going anywhere with this, so I think I'll stop. Maybe have a drink after my parents go to bed. Or something. Gah, I feel terrible.

*HUG*....I'm glad you're OK ....Wrecks can be very scary, ...even if you are not actually hurt.

Aw, Zel. Be happy now. There's a first time for everything. *Hugs*
When I first got my liscence they said "Everybody has at least one accident, and once you're past that hurtle, you *should* be OK from there."
My entire seventeenth year I was so paranoid about accidents that it was probably the reason why I ended up in my first one.
But, as strange as it may sound, I felt better after the accident. I knew there was no guarentee that I would crash again, but it felt like I was in the clear.
And then I was in another wreck. The family BMW was trashed. I was checked out in an ambulance and declared to be fine besides the bite wounds on my tounge, but oooh, did that ever hurt the bank account.

Important thing, @Zel: no one's hurt. Remember that. Say it over and over.
If you want to get a drink, it's understandable: you've just been through a pretty traumatic experience. Take it easy, treat yourself to something nice.

Accidents happen. My first was caused by a girl in shorts bending over in a parking lot. Caught the bumper of the truck next to me while backing out.....now THAT makes you feel stupid

This guy (Click the arrows to see more)
Well, I did have one off road incident, slid in an unplowed road, with about an inch of snow covering it. No damage. A guardrail stopped me, and it gave under the pressure and absorbed the entire impact.

Everyone's right Zel, no one was hurt, and cars can always be repaired or another bought.
Shock is an inevitable factor within any accident - it's a result of surprise - so thats why you're shaking and a little worked up about it. Like you said, get yourself a tod of whisky, curl up in bed and sleep. You'll feel fine and dandy.

Odly enough......I experienced a similar thing. When I drove with friends to the soccer, they pointed me in the direction of a nice girl....so I checked.
Unfortunatly, when I did that, the car in front of me stopped and I caught the bumper of one of my friends car. He wasnt that happy and neither was I.........expencive joke, watching girls..
But anyway, Zelgadis, its good that ure allright.......car crashes are freaking scary...

I am glad to hear no-one was hurt Zel, feeling shook up is natural though
I have come off my motorbike a few times, three times after hitting a patch of diesel on a wet road, and twice after being hit by a car. Thankfully I bounce well (so far anyway) and decent leather gear saves the road rash - though I did have a badly bruised knee each time. I always seem to drop the bike on the same side
(apart from the occasion I was thrown over the handlebars
)
I have made one claim on my car insurance (*touching wood*) and that was a no fault claim after someone decided to park their car in my boot whilst I was stationery
