NWN PH Questions

I have a crossbow in NWN that I'm using now, but I'm not quite sure what the stats mean.

Massive Criticals 1d4
Mighty +3

Can anyone tell me what those mean? I'm more of a 2nd Ed. guy, so I don't have some of the 3rd Ed. rules down yet...

Thanks!

Well - mighty +3 should mean (if my memory serves me right) that you can get up to +3 bonus damage depending on your strenght bonus.
So if you have up to +3 modifier on strenght it will be added to your damage roll.

Somebody correct me if I remember wrong :)

As for the critical I don't know - but could imagine that it is a bonus to damage on criticals. But this is guessing :)

You're right about the mighty damage, though I didn't think you could get Mighty damage off a crossbow, it's not a strength based weapon. Nevermind though.

Massive criticals (and this is from sketchy memory) is when you get a critical hit, it can be increased to a Massive Critical for increased damage, I think...

The crossbow's name is the Crossbow of Affliction. Unfortunately, my wizard has a negative bonus on STR, so I may go with another :) .

As far as the massive criticals, that stat would just add at most 4 more points of damage to a crit hit?

I would guess so - but I don't know for sure.
