Anything good out there?

Is there anything out there that comes close to BG2? I've been keeping an eye on the market and there sure doesn't seem to be much available. I tried NWN and Morrowind (yaaaawwwwn); I've been following CNET's reviews and X-Play on TechTV but most of what they review seems to be console-based and what few PC games they looked at apparently suck.
After playing BG2 umpteen times with every solo and team imaginable, I'm finally getting burned out on it but can't find anything to take its place. I prefer something similar (PC, D&D, RPG, non-cartoon, etc.) and have no interest in on-line games like Ultima or Everquest; I have tried them and found them to be nothing but an exercise in frustration.
Any suggestions?

Well if you haven't played it, I'd try BG I. And if you're more into the dungeon crawls to find the best loot try IWD. And if you can find a copy give PS:T a try, I've heard it was awesome, but have yet to get a copy.

Planescape: Torment is indeed a great game. A lot more of the role-playing element than say IWD had. The only thing is, it might be kinda hard to find these days, but it stands as one of my fav games.

If you want one battle after another and little to no roleplaying, get IWD. If you want an intelligent game with great npc's and a great story, get PS:T. If you want a mix, get BG1.
Just out of curiousity, Graeye, why didn't you like Morrowind? I'm thinking about buying it.

I played BG1 and TOSC a looong time ago.
Coot: Morrowind, to me, just wasn't realistic ... the people didn't look like people ... and I found the play interface to be awkward.
Planescape Torment sounds like a possibility; I'll check it out.
Thanks for the replies.

PS:T is a great game, though I would download a demo before I buy it if I were you, since it's kind of a niche game since very little is dependant on battles. I believe that was a major point in why the game was such a financial disaster.
Fallout series are truly great if you don't mind the fact that they arn't in a fantasy setting.
Ofcourse there are always BG2 mods like The Darkest Day, which I personally did not especially like, but when I tried them I was already tired from BG2.
Lastly you can do a search on this board for more reccomendations; I recall a couple of threads asking questions similar to yours.
And welcome to SYM!
