New to Morrowind and I have an enchanting question...

Post by JHD536 »

OK, I've had Galbedir in the Balmora mage's guild make a ring that gives me full bound armor (except cuirass, I cannot find that darn spell anywhere...) and also an amulet that summons a Golden Saint for 43 seconds for use on my Azura's star...

I figured it would be cheaper to make it myself since enchanting is one of my major skills, but making a constant effect never works, nor does a major summon like Golden Saint, Storm Atronach, etc... I have the Enchant skill at 60 and an intelligence of about 85. I also heard that luck has to do with it, so I had a couple of luck boosting things made and also a spell for it.

But after all the work, it still never works, so my question is; What is the minimum enchant skill needed to have any chance of getting a constant effect onto an item? And also, where is the Bound Cuirass spell, I've seen it enchanted into a helm, but I cannot find the spell itself...

At an enchant skill of about 40 and intelligence of 80, you have a good chance of making items of 5 enchant points or less. With an enchant skill of 60, you can make items of around 10 enchant points. You can make constant-effect items at this point if you really boost your intelligence (200 or more), but only if they don't use too many enchant points (more than 20). Save before attempting this - you'll still have a rather high failure rate.

Erer Darothril, in Dirty Muriel's Cornerclub, Sadrith Mora sells Bound Cuirass.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I took a tip and made loads of Intelligente fortifying potions, I had over 1500... but it still failed to do anything...

I guess I'll keep trying, thanks for the info.

Okay some cheese for you:

Go to the mage guild in sadrith mora, exit their door, go down a staircase and go into the imperial cult room. Find a guy who will sell you ash yams and bloat. Buy Ash yams and bloat from him, wait 24 hours, buy ash yams and bloat from him ect... ect... continue this process until you have at least 100 ash yams and bloats. Now:

Make 30 fortify intelligence potions
drink them
Make 20 intelligence potions
drink them
Make 20 intelligence potions
drink them
make 15 intelligence potions
drink them
Make 10 intelligence potions
drink them
Make 5 Intelligence potions

Enchant what you want to

(Note this is where the useful part of the reply ends)

Now I hope you paid attention in your algebra class (or hopefully before that) cause this is called exponential growth! Hahahah (fake enthusiasm)

So with this stratergy you can rase you intelligence to a thousand couple hundredthousand, a million. So do this and try your enchant and if it doesn't work then may my cat be hit by a car (where is fluffy today anyway?) ha ha...... Anyway using this statergy I made a levitation potion with levitate for 1300 something points. Drank three of them. Pressed forward on my keyboard. All of a sudden I crossed the majoridy of morrowind! Gasp!!! I did it again and my computer crashed weeeeeeee.... So don't try making super levitation potions.
