little help wit a game problemo(xperts needed too)

Morowind is pretty cool, expecialy all the cool toys(magic amulets, glass armor and weapons, etc)
i passed the main quest and right now im at lvl 89(dont ask how i got there, lost track at lvl 20.took a long time to get there though......)and im keeping my game installed for sometime.I like to collect alot of stuff and i have at least half of the island to xplore(man, BIG ISLAND!)
theres just one problem--
error messages pop up here and there
im just tralveling around morrowind,graphics goin smooth,then pop! 'Morrowind is cuasing errors and will be closed be windows.
please restart the program'
it happens on certain spots i go to,and during the main quest i ignored it, learned to avoid the certain spots, and saved where ever i could.
now that the the main quest is over, they keep comin.
I ignored them again up untill now, cuase i think its growing in new areas that i always go through
for instance if i get off the slitrider at ald' ruhn, go down the ramp and walk towards the fighters guild--pop! error message!
but say i go straight into middle of town, then go south to the fighters guild---no pop up
im thinking there may be a virus in my copy of the game, but i also think its a couple other things:
graphics on to much color(like 32-bit is too high(yeah right))
hard drive is too full to get the right files in time(though 9 gigs of free space is alot of free in a 30 gig)
video card sucks(probably)
morrowind in windowed process(i do this for certain reasons)
If any of u who encountered this problem and know what to do or if u know what it is and u never even heard of this prob, plz reply im desprate(I NEED TO FINISH COLLECTING ALL THE GLASS MATERIALS!!!!)
