Fighters Guild quest question (spoiler?)

i'm doing a quest for the guild guy in Vivec which involves 'silencing' a toad guy in Ald'ruhn. so i get there and take it i have to kill him (and not let him go as he asks). however when i do so i get the crap kicked out of me by all those around... what do i do to complete the mission...any help greatly appreciated.
