end of SoA I was a neutral good fighter
start of ToB I'm suddenly neutral evil

when did this happen?

I took one evil route in the tests at the end of SoA (selfishness) but I took the rest as good

do I have to go back and re do that section or did something mess up?

can I edit and change my allignment without causing game bugs?

Your alignment changed because you took an evil path in hell.
I believe you can change it with shadowkeeper (it's an abbility, not your main allignment). But it doesn't realy matter what your allignment is as long as your not a ranger/paladin

Yup, one evil choice is evil enough in this game, I'm afraid.

It's part of the game, so you have nothing messed up. Whether you go back to re-do the test or not is entirely up to you. Do you want to play good, or accept being evil in the TOB? Your decision.

Alignment doesn't matter at all, it's your reputation and the choices you make that have an impact, I wouldn't worry about changing your alignment back.

I know alignment really doesn't matter in the long run, but it makes me feel better :p

I'll play an evil character later, probably in about 2 days when I beat ToB

yeah, i think you become evil if u kill the dragon or take the blackrazor in hell. on one of my games i became an evil paladin but not fallen. you can still take the blackrazor if u pick pocket the genie for the tear stone though.

Yeah I remember this happened to me when I killed the genie for Blackrazor. I could never pickpocket him though, even after boosting my thief skills with potions. Does it take a million tries or something?
