I am having trouble with this quest, I can't kill the three troll in the room downstairs, the head troll and his two minions. I've tried using Jaheira's summon monster II and then her nymph, and I try to soup my men up with magic and other things, help!

Cast protection spells like Bless, Chant, Haste, Stoneskin etc, on your own characters.

Use summoned creatures for distraction......and when one of your characters gets hurt....draw it away from the battle and heal him/her (spells or potions)

Traps might also be usefull.

I also have a question: do you have a mod installed (tactics??)
Maybe u should use spells on the head troll like Breach, Spell Thrust, Warding Whip and the like (or, when torgall is invisible, Dispell Invisibilty Spells).
Just focus most of your attention on the head troll (torgall) because he is the strongest.

Maybe you should tell which NPC's are in your party......that way I can give a more detailed approach on how to kill him/them.

Anyway, hope this helps....

And if that doesn't work, just walk into the room, stay out of sight of the trolls and throw a Cloudkill their way. A couple Fireballs, Skulltraps, Glyphs of Warding, or any such spell will do just as well. Or as prevoiusly mentioned do some buffing I'll add to the list with Prot Evil 10' Radius. And casting Slow during that fight and many others works wonders. Good Luck.

stacked web and cloudkill wands will take care of most of the easier encounters in chapter 2...

btw...stacked web and cloudkill will also dispose of improved d'arnise keep...via tactics mod... :D

Well I decided to drag out the Tag alone to the other room, where I had 5 different summons, fire arrows, Nalia, Minsc and Kensai souped up on magic; just waiting for him. Then I fought him without trouble. A few mage attacks, some missles from Yoshimo, next thing I know, I'm Lord Aramav with 500 a week fattening my wallet. Not that much in a week but it's some. And I get to go with the next quests for the rest of the keep. Cool huh? Well thanks for the help. ;)
