Is anyone else besides myself stupid enough to actually sit there and allow the "alien" language dialog to play out, despite being able to read the translation and click to move ahead?

**raises hand in shame**
However, if I go back a second time to talk to someone, I will speed things along. Sometimes those aliens take an awful long time to get the words out, especially those darned Ithorians. On the flip side, the Jawas are speed talkers.

Nope.
If you've met the 10 year old you know why.

I usually listen to it all except for the Ithorians. Reminds me of those Bugs Bunny cartoons where they would talk in some weird language for 15 seconds and the translation would be " OK".

LOL, yes I remember that! And they usually followed it up with a tiny hiccup in the foreign language, which translated as a full paragraph.
Still, the Ithorians are fun.

The Jawas were done brilliantly. Still it strikes me a bit funny that every alien language translates grammatically correct except for theirs. Much like Yoda the words in their sentences are switched around a bit but still understandable. Reminds me of a few online language translators I have tried. Maybe the programmers did this by translating their dialogue to german then back to english with a translating program.

the rodians arent grammatically correct most of the time, there is one rodian in the game that when translated has good grammar but i forget who it is.

I played it the first time with the surround sound on, not realizing the bass was turned up a little high. I thought I'd punctured an eardrum the first time I heard an itorian talk.
