Akatosh Plug-In Question (possible spoilers)

I'm playing the Akatosh plug-in from the Nights of the Hour folks and just retrieved the dragon's tooth. Now the Akatosh priestess has asked me to try to find Zumar. I can't get anymore information out of her as I keep getting the same screen with "Goodbye" in red. Has anyone else tried this plug-in who might be able to give me a hint as to whether the quest is done and there is no Zumar to be found or if Zumar will just appear somewhere while I'm doing other quests? It appears to me that the Akatosh fortress has nothing else I can do there.
BTW the Akatosh armor you get is awesome looking and the Akatosh priest robe is just beautiful. Now I've got to see if this stuff will hold any decent enchantments.

Urm...what quest? i have downloaded the plugins for the jeremy armor series, and all I've discovered is a room, with two saints, and the armor just sitting there...so there is a quest giver and more loot availble???
btw...open up tes, don't make it the active file, just highlight the plugin and click on details...this will allow you to get a good idea of what dialogs and items and npcs a given mod/plugin has got, without the information overload loading in tes will give you...
also, I've tried looking at tes the armor, and its already got a small constant effect enchantment...I've only looked at the lily armor, and its got a single point of charisma increase per piece...nice, but hardly uber...I imagine the robe has the same...
is there a newer version of the jeremy armors with expanded quests? I mean, I just went to the shrine, kicked butt, and killed two golden saints and got the armor...what robe?

Probably not the same armor
User: I didn't do the Lily armor plug-in. The one I did is called the Akatosh Shrine and the armor is gold with a dragon on it. Its really smokin'. The robe has an hourglass on it. Looks like most pieces will take about 100 enchantment points so that's not to shabby. I didn't run into any golden saints. I went into a time chamber after a corrupted knight who stole the 'dragon tooth'. I had to kill a bunch of characters from the opening game scenes (guy on the boat, couple of Imperial soldiers, etc.) who came back as zombies then some giant clanfears, some skellies with nasty enchanted arrows, then this corrupted knight with a gazillion health points and finally an evil priest (possibly Zumars but I didn't take note of the name). I returned the dragons tooth to the priestess and she let me keep the Akatosh armor. Then she said I should help her destroy Zumars but I can't get anymore dialog out of her.

Is "Akatosh Shrine" actually the name of the plug-in? Sounds like a cool mod so I went to download it but could'nt find it. Tried MW Summit and searched the web with no positive results. Where did you find it?

Uncle, as far as I can tell from tes, the plugin does not add an npc named zumars into the game...in fact, when I looked at the dialog for the akotosh priest, I could not see a lord zumars mentioned at all....
this may be an error, or I may not be looking at the right location...
i'm not a tes wizard by any means...
what the ending dialog should be is thank you for saving the shrine...you might want to load up in tes the plugin, set to active, and save it again...you know the procedure for updating an esp file, right? I've fixed multiple spawns and dialog errors simply by updating the plugin...then see if you get that same dialog chain again...
jofus, jeremy makes wonderful armor mods, and can be found here....
http://www.geocities.com/jw_mcguinn/armory.html
I still firmly believe the best set of morrowind armor is shiekizza icemane's armor, but I have to admit jeremy's armor is darned nice...
btw...uncle, akotosh and arkay both look like they have a small quest attached, the leopard and lily armors are straight bash and loot areas....
I do agree with you about how nice the akotosh gear looks, the gold dragon on a jet/ebony background does look very nice...I also like the skull motief in arkay...
I am skeletor!!!
(I hate that show...)

Knights of the Hour = Akatosh Shrine

At the Tamariel site the plug-in is officially called "Knights of the Hour" but when you download and unzip it it the file name becomes "Akatosh". Guess you figured that out though.

Zumars is definitely mentioned in the end dialog. I finally found the TES disk (that's what I get for sticking it in an unlabled jewel case) so I'll try to access the dialog as you suggest. I'm guessing that its something of a red herring.

I'm not familiar with that one. Is it a downloadable mod or is it from Bloodmoon?

S P O I L E R: Yes, the quest requires you to open the door to the Chamber of Time using a Dragon's Eye token and recover the dragons tooth that was stolen by the corrupted Akatoshian knight. You step through the door and are back on the ship where the game first starts. You talk to the boatman and then you see a corprus beast and two corprus stalkers coming down the length of the ship. The whole setting has a greenish cast to it. Then the boatman turns on you. That's your first clue not to trust anyone you meet. next you leave the ship via a door and emerge in a little hallway. You open the next door and you see the guy that gives you your papers at the start of the game and his Imperial bodyguard. They greet you like friends and then attack you. I found that CE levitation worked real well on these guys because they are really pumped up. After you beat them you go through another door and emerge in a huge room that imitates the Akatosh shrine area but you can see that its been trashed. You're on a platform and as you levitate over the edge you start taking poison arrows from some skellies - maybe 4-6 of these guys. There's also a couple of big clanfears roaming around on the floor so I wouldn't try this without a CE levitation amulet. Finally you see a knight in his snazzy golden armor and he has a short dialog that says he serves some bad guy now and then attacks you. He's one hard SOB to kill and its almost impossible to hit him with arrows while you're levitating (you know how they jump around when you do this - right?). I would swoop and bash him with Goldbrand and then gain altitude so my CE shirt of healing could do its thing. Finally I off the sucker and then a monk appears who shouts something like "You've won this round, but ..." and he attacks. He's another tough one (maybe he was Zumars) and when you kill him you can recover the dragons tooth. Come to think of it I don't recall if I got the dragon's tooth off him or the knight. I looted all their bodies and made a pile of weapons (mostly dwemer) and armor. I saved here and left via the door but couldn't reenter the chamber. So I used recall to get back to Caldera with all the loot and ran the short distance to the Akatosh Shrine (its midway between Balmora and Caldera). There I returned to the priestess who removed the dragons eye and dragons tooth from my inventory, thanked me for saving the shrine, told me I could keep the armor and asked me to help in hunting down Zumars. The dialog ends with a red 'Goodbye' and if you try to talk to her again you get the same response. Your only option is to click on the red 'Goodbye' to close the dialog box. I think that's meant to be the end of the quest but it would really be cool if you ran into Zumars somewhere later in the game.
BTW I was able to put a CE Fortify Strength 20 points on the Akatosh shield. I need to hunt down some more Ascended Sleepers/Goldies now so I can enchant the rest of the gear. I did the quest in Adamantium armor but this stuff is way better looking and holds decent enchantments so I sold that and pumped up by Heavy Armor skill.

you don't need no stinking ascended sleepers..
just hit telbrannora, in the highest tower, near that telvanni sorceress is someone who sells the "summon golden saint" spell...unless conjuration is really high, just make an enchanted item to cast the spell, and use azura's star to trap with...
thanks for the spoilers, plan to try out soon...
I can absolutely tell you for sure that the plugin does NOT add zumars, lord zumar or anyone like that in the game..
I really really think that its a dialog error...look in tes...btw...
tes comes on the morrowind install cd rom...the tes cd rom is a cd full of textures and nifs and graphics, as a source for modders to create new stuff with...the tes that is installed as part of the morrowind installation is all you need to load up a plugin and explore it...

Thanks for the tip. I do this with all the golden saint scrolls I find but I like hunting goldies as they often carry great loot. Just got a glass tower shield off one of them. Unfortunately when you summon and trap them their loot evaporates with them.

You're correct, there is no Zumars. He is just referenced in the text as the vanguard for 'She who will rise from the heartland'.
I got into TES and found all the characters and dialog. Here's what it said:
Akatosh Priestess:
Greetings Red Sonya (that's my female nord's name in this game) . I'm afraid you have arrived at our shrine at the worst of moments.
A visiting priest from the mainland turned out to be an impostor.
He killed Master Bendal, stole the Dragons Tooth,
and entered the Chambers of Time.
You ask about the Chamber of Time and get this response:[
The Chambers are part of Akatosh's sphere of time.
Our most holy place.
The Dragons Tooth protects you and let you travel safely inside.
Paladin Raycard went after the impostor,
but without the Dragons Tooth,
it's a very dangerous place.
Then you ask about Raycard and she tells you this:[
He is one of the heroes from the Battle of Cryngaine,
and served for five years with the Emperors personal bodyguard.
He is the bravest of our knights,
but now he needs all the help he could get.
Here take one of the Dragons Eyes.
It will alllow you to enter The Chambers,
but it will not protect you from any danger inside.
After you finish the quest and return the tooth you get this response:[
So Raycard is dead, but the Dragons Tooth is safe.
You may keep his armor, but please help us find this Zumars.
If he can corrupt a noble Knight like Raycard,
he must be very powerfull....and dangerous.
May Akatosh have mercy on his soul.
Our holy Chambers are safe again.
Thank you.
Here's the characters you fight:
Jiub: (dark elf) the boatman
Socucius Ergalla (Breton) guy in Seyda Neen who gives you your papers.
Ganciele Douar (imperial) a guard
Caius Cosades: (imperial) Balmora Blades boss
Paladin Raynard (nord)
and finally, Scarlec the imposter Battle Mage servant of Zumars (reminds me of the plot from Ghostbusters with Zul).
