Modified Mandrake Root

Where is the stupid root, I talked to Mandal's ghost he showed me where he threw it, but I can't find it. I don't know if it's a glitch or what. I spent about an hour in the room where the ancient wyvern was with no luck

Hi,
you may not like this, but I'm aware the game has a problem with this area. A possible bug occurs during this quest. You need to avoid the ancient wyvern until after you are informed about the root. As I understand it, the root may not appear if you have killed the wyvern before talking to Mandals ghost.

Same thing happened to me, and I am in Heart of Fury Mode. I had to use the DaleKeeper 2 editer to create it. Wierd.
