Romance subplot with Bastilla

Hi guys. I got the official stategy guide for KOTOR (i'm a moron, I know) and I read the game spanning quest section where it mentions to romance subplots. With Bastilla you must be a male character and have gotten through the first 4 promted conersations with her on Taris for the romance to continue on. As far as I can tell I'm doing everything right to have the romance plot go on, but I've only gotten promted with the first convo and I'm almost off Taris. The guide says that these convos are only avalable on Taris and if you don't get through them all the subplot ends. Call me a softy but I really wanna see this romance thing to the end. I even restarted the game in order to make this work, but no luck. Is there anyway to trigger these conversations? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

i dont believe that that guide is entirely accurate. I didnt get all of the convos on taris but the romance is advancing fine for me. I dont know whats up.

Don't wait for a prompt from your lady love.
It is best if you initiate the conversation rather than waiting around for her to want to talk. Your best bet is to have her part of your team as often as possible or before doing something important talk to everybody on the Ebon Hawk.

Only on Taris? Don't know about that. I first read this thread after already leaving Dantooine, and persued this sub-plot. At one point, she took me to the back of the Hawk for some privacy, and it's not too hard to get a kiss out of her despite both your jedi training...VERY reminiscent of Episode II.

I agree with the rest. If that Guide is Prima's SW:KotOR Guide than iit sucks! Some things are useful but it really has nothing to do with the game... Missing Items... Added Items, etc. I was able to get the subquest during Dantoonie and even further...

General rule of thumb to remember: these days, game guides are done considerably in advance of the completion of the game, with expectations that it will be on the market the day of the game's release. Needless to say, information goes out of date, and sometimes very little is provided to the writers. As a result, modern game guides (always excepting those published by the game developers/publishers, themselves) tend to be filled out with useless stuff, or duplicates of information you can find in the manual.
Wherever possible, get your info online!

I am new, just finished the game, Light side as a Jedi sentinel girl. Aside from Carth putting his mac on me in Taris, i had NO romance subplots. Oh wait, Jolee said i was cute lol
Anyways, i didn't discurage Carth in the conversation. So as a girl, there is no romance subplots?

Well, when you talk to Juhani and she is depresiv at the first time, you can ask her if she tries to flirt with you. But aside from this, I haven't got any dialogs for a romance. This works with female and male characters btw.

No Basstilla action for me
Okay, I've been a light Jedi for most of the game, I've finished the Bastilla/mother/holocron quest (she kept it), and we've had a chat on Dantooine. I always bring her along.
I've been light execpt for three cases, getting a deal on the mean droid and answering two Kashyyyk star map answers darkly.
... I talk to her constantly on the Ebon Hawk, but it's the same-old same-old everytime. Can someone tell me if I've missed something?

depends on how many starmaps you have. talk to her after every exp level you or she gains and that is ALL you need to do.
can't believe juhani is lesbian! she's aerie from BG2!!

Assuming you have the experience, you can go through an NPC's entire dialog string in one sitting. You can force new dialog by saving and reloading the game.
